[It's terrifying to hear something like that. His luck could destroy this. He looks away, flushed and happier than he's ever been. But the fear won't go away. He leans into him, reaching down to lace their fingers together.] We'll find a way.

I...have been working on a gift for you. So I guess when we're both finished we can share them.

[But Hinata did tease him. He huffs, adding.] And it's not unnatural to worry about these things! I'm so happy with you even when we argue that I...I want this to continue, always.

[Tucked up against Hinata's side he drops his head onto his shoulder.]

[ He won't allow it to backfire on him. It's a promise that he makes to himself. ] And yeah. It will. We'll work hard to guarantee that.

I trust you. [But he can't ever forget that the happiest times in his life are immediately followed by tragedy. The blood running over his proverbial hands is so much it has stained his skin. It's only recently he's thought it is okay to live and to oppose his luck's attempts to rule his life.

His fingers curl in Hinata's sleeve as he shuts his eyes.] I want to believe in this fantasy-like future we're both envisioning. I want to fight for it beside you.

Mmm, [Maybe, there would even come a time when they could lay down all their burdens. It sounds like heaven. He pulls back, away from him and picks up his tea.]

Look at me. I've become such a sap. [His lips curve into a small smile as he whispers, playfully.] It's all your fault. You're not just good-looking, you're a drug I can't stop taking.

[ It's been so long since he's had those problems of distrust that it almost seems like ages ago. They've done so many horrible things, but now they can finally fix them. ]

And of course. We'll fight for it alongside everyone we've met here. Both from our world... and those who aren't, too. I want to create a future where those that deserve it can have what they want. Whether it is to stay here or go back home to their worlds. Or visit someone else's world, too.

[ Hinata plans on figuring out a way to do that. It might be hard, but he believes that with help, he can make it happen. ]

[He's smart enough to immediately set his cup right back down before it reaches his lips. Embarrassed, he opens his mouth and closes it without a word. The walk home is going to be interesting.
