Sorry about that... I was trying to make a little something while I was waiting, but come on in. Don't worry, this isn't going to be too formal. I have a seat set up so feel free to sit wherever you like.

[ There is, in fact, a small seating area to the left of her with a desk that has some coloring utensils and paper. ]

It's a little early for it, but a scarf. I wanted to start preparing for winter fashions. Anyway... for the interview, all I'm going to ask you to do is show me how you would teach someone who doesn't know how to draw. That's it.

Not a bad idea; especially if you're making it yourself.

[Naminé nods and takes a seat in front of the supplies.]

Do you mind if I give the lesson to you then? Or did you have someone else in mind?

Yeah. I've been working on these kinds of things for a while.

[ But that's not really important, is it? ] It'd be easier to just teach me so I can judge it.

That's fine with me.

[She's nervous but doing her best to keep it in. She wants to come off as professional after all.]

My drawing style isn't very formal. I mostly want to encourage creativity and open mindedness. [She hands him a sketchbook she's already filled in.] I think to start it'd be best to keep it simple, yes?

[ Hinata nods, almost quiet. ]

That makes sense. So for something simple, what would we do?

Hmm... [She sticks to what she knows best.] Let's draw our favorite memories. Just something simple, okay?

[With a smile she picks up a pencil.] Does that work?

Yeah.

[ He nods, mostly to himself as he also picks a pencil to himself, but then realizes that he has a question. ]

Might I ask, though... why you decided that as the topic? [ Hinata will go along with it, but you know as they say: curiosity killed the cat. ]

Well...memories are what inspired me to draw.

[She has a small smile on her face. It was a bittersweet thought, but the truth. Besides, she enjoyed art for herself now.]

I think it's good to reflect on good times.

[ Hinata's voice is calm, and his response itself seems to be rather satisfied with her answered. ]

I think it's good to reflect on good times... but there's also bad times to reflect on, too. After all, you can't just live on just happy memories alone.

[Naminé's quick to nod back at him.]

Oh yes of course. It's a balance isn't it? We learn from bad times but treasure good times. But we can't get caught up in it all either. The future is important.

[She smiles and brushes her page free of scraps from the pencils.]

That's how I feel anyway.

Yeah.

[ Hinata nods, wearing a rather serene, relaxing smile. ] The past is what shapes us, but the future is something that we can create with out own hands. It's important so we can reach the happiness that we're all looking for.

[His smile helps her relax again. She was worried she was answering wrong, even if she she was speaking what she thought was right.]

It sounds like you've had this talk before.

I have, [ Hinata admits, a little sheepishly; but it's not without merit. ] but it's always nice to have it with new people, since I never know how they'll respond. Ah, don't worry though. I enjoy it.

[Naminé gave a shy smile with a nod.] I'm glad...

[She finally looks up from her sketchbook.] How is your drawing going? Do you need any help? [She had almost forgotten why she had come here.]

Huh? Ah... no, I think I'm almost done.

[ He was working on it while speaking. ] You don't mind if it's just a sketch, do you?

Oh not at all. For today it's okay to do what you want.

[She finishes up her own drawing and shows it to him with a smile. It's a drawing a figure that looks like her making a promise to a boy with spiky brown hair.]
